from my disappointing day in San Luis Obispo we ventured our way up to Santa Cruz where Death By Stereo was playing. We pull into town around 6 and we were both dying to take a pee so we just wanted to get a hotel as soon as possible, but first we stopped by the Catalyst to buy tickets. GIVE CANDY A ROUND OF APPLAUSE BECAUSE SHE PARALLEL PARKED BABY!!!!! (SHE GETS HER REWARD LATER IN THE NIGHT!!) So she is shy to go in because, well to be frank, we looked like ass. She had no problem sending me in there looking like asshole. But it's ok because i got to pee and she still had to suffer. I walked out of the place with the saddest look i could muster up still holding on to Candy's money and got into the car and told her i hoped she had a plan b cause the show was sold out. I WAS TOTALLY LYING!!! she started busting up when i told her i was just kidding! And to make things even better!! I got a 3 dollar discount per ticket! WOO HOO FOR SANTA CRUZ! We left to go try to find a hotel. Candy had to pee so bad I could see the waves in her eyes! We finally found one suitable enough to stay at and we got ready for what would turn out to be...THE GREATEST SHOW EVER.

Now understand that DBS was opening for Sum 41...interesting combo if I do say so myself...we made sure we got to the venue late cause there was another band opening before DBS that we didn't want to see. That band finished and we knew we had our work set out for us because those little girls were packed in like sardines in a can to see sum 41...but there was no way we drove all this way to stand in the back.

DBS set up fairly quickly...they didn't have any dramatic entrance...no big song and dance..just straight fucken rock and roll!!! Candy and I went NUTS! we started shoving and pushing and forcing our way up towards the front screaming and singing and jumping the whole way! Efrem kept pointing at she and I (how exciting ). So here is this amazing show that was going to do nothing but GET BETTER!! Desperation Train starts and we are pretty excited..we're dancing and singing and efy jumps off stage. Well when this guy comes anywhere near the crowd the rest of the crowd follows..he started basically infront of candy and I...mobbed. so he went to the right side of the audience...mobbed. He moved to the left side...mobbed. Then he went over the barricade and into the crowd. This is when i made my move to get closer to the front. Candy and I are now side by side. Efrem was trying to make his way towards us I'm sure of it! So next thing I know he is leaning on me . He put the microphone in my face so that i could sing..AND I DID! Usually I'm shy about singing but if you notice the hearts in the eyes of that smiley face I think you get my drift... hehehe. THEN he goes back over the barricade and tosses the microphone to candy! Candy looks at me kinda confused to i pat her on the back and yell GO CANDY GO!!! and then i went fucken nuts! Candy was singing and she was sharing the mic with me and then this boy wanted to sing too so she was sharing with him while i screamed and jumped and pointy at efy...who pointed right back at me !!! The security guard tried snatching the mic from her and she grabbed that shit with kung fu grip! It RULED!!! She had the microphone for the rest of the song...and the security guy was trying to take it the entire time!! (now this may not sound oh to exciting to you, but it's definitely one of those YOU HAD TO BE THERE things).

Once they finished playing we left. There was no way we wanted to ruin that experience by sticking around for sum 41..that would have just brought us down. We said by to Jesus, Todd, and Dan (dan is probably one of the most smart ass guys you could ever know and he may not be the nicest but for some reason that guy and I get along...he said i was AWESOME!! YAYA!!!)

we ended the night by getting one of those ever so wonderful 5 dollar little cesar pizzas...and JON CALLS!!

neither of us could fall asleep and since candy and Todd were texting each other all night long when i finally did catch a sleep i was rudely awakened by Todd's text...the night after the show sucked balls. we couldn't figure out what to do with our wondering minds...we watched Alfie...we listened to DBS...I started jumping on the bed...we had a mini pillow fight...we tried anything to keep our minds focused and off of stupid boys....grrrr...what a lousy way to end the evening...but at least we'll always have the memory of that show!!!!!!!
